Full Description
Cropmarks of a possible prehistoric or Roman field system, to the north-west of Scopwick. Visible as a number of linear boundary ditches, some of which seem to interconnect. One of the ditches bisects a rectilinear enclosure, thought to be a possible Neolithic mortuary enclosure (see MLI87416). A probable linear pit alignment located to the east of the field system seems to run along the same alignment, and may be associated (see MLI90981). Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
