Full Description
PRN 63570
A sequence of linear features, some forming enclosures, are visible on aerial photographs. {1}{3}
These have been interpreted as a field system, possibly of the 'brickwork fields' type, of probable later prehistoric or Roman date. There is little superimposition of features, suggesting that there was little change or different usage of this system. It may be related to possible settlement cropmarks in the area e.g. PRNs 63677, 60812 and 64582. PRN 36376 may also form part of this system. {1}
The NMP does not record these features. Cropmarks of geological or recent origin "to the west of the Old Slea river" are mentioned, which may refer to this site although the location referred to is not clear. {2}
