PRN 70430 The Primitive Methodist Chapel on Rasen Lane first appears on the Padley Map of 1851. {1} The church was erected in 1850 and was a separate and entire building used exclusively as a place of worship. The chapel had an average attendance of 143 people. {2} The Primitive Methodists have two chapels in Lincoln; one in Portland Place, built in 1839 and enlarged in 1854 and the other in Rasen Lane, built in 1850. {3} The church served as a place of nonconformist worship well into the 20th century, with documents dating to between 1855 to 1959. {4} The chapel appears to have been demolished sometime in the early 1960s. The building is not depicted on the 1968 Ordnance Survey map. {5}
