Full Description

PRN 63564 Environmental sampling occurred on land at Hanbeck Farm, Wilsford prior to the construction of a pond. Peat dated tentatively to the middle Saxon period was uncovered which suggests that there was standing water located here during this period. Evidence of agriculture and a rich assmeblage of trees and shrubs, including willow in the vicinity of the pond, was also apparent. {1}{2}
