Full Description

PRN 45863 A site visit was made to land adjacent to North Road Farm, Tattershall Thorpe prior to mineral extraction. Six worked or struck flints dated to the late Mesolithic to Neolithic period were recovered. One was identified as a scraper. {1} {2} Seven more worked flints were found during trial trenching on the same land adjacent to North Road Farm. These flints include a knife, a secondary flake, a secondary blade, a tertiary blade, a secondary blade-like flake and two cores. The diagnostic items suggest a date range from the early Neolithic to the early Bronze Age. {3}{4}
