Full Description

55144 The former Primitive Methodist Chapel in Springthorpe was built in 1898, and replaced an earlier chapel of 1831 that stood on Chapel Lane [PRN 56364]. It is constructed of red brick with a slate roof in Gothic style. It has a raised gable with stone copings and kneelers. It also has two decorated red brick string courses and stone hood mouldings. It has a roundel in the street frontage and three pointed arch windows, the largest, central one is now blocked. The building has been refenestrated in the side elevations, and now has two storeys, where it originally had one. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
