Full Description

PRN 70406 Two trail trenches were excavated at Holmes Wharf, Carholme Road, Lincoln, prior to development. They uncovered evidence of a possible robber pit dating to the 17th - 19th century. There was also evidence of a post medieval surface layer. {1} {2} A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks at Holmes Wharf, Carholme Road, Lincoln prior to development. Foundations for Mr Keyworth's House were uncovered. This was built before 1817, and was demolished during 1829. {3} {4}
