Full Description

PRN 70405 A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks on the water mains replacement scheme, around Bailgate, Lincoln. Three courses of mortared masonry were seen in the trench face on the junction of Bailgate and Exchequergate. They are suggestive that a building stood here. It was assumed that it was of Roman date. {1}{2}
