Full Description

PRN 70402 A watching brief was undertaken during groundworks on the water mains replacement scheme, around Bailgate, Lincoln. It uncovered evidence of Roman walls and floors which may indicate buildings, although the finds were not in situ. The floor make up appeared to have been waterproof, implying that it was a building associated with water, possibly a bath house. There was also a possible metalled surface. {1} {2}
