The chapel is believed to have operated from 1862 until its closure in 1943. It was demolished a few years after closing, as part of an attempt to widen a sharp bend in the road here. Material from the demolished chapel was said to have been taken to North Kelsey, to be re-used in the construction of a carpenter's shop there. {4}
