Full Description
Earthwork remains of a former medieval field system were identified on aerial photographs by the National Mapping Programme. {1}
Further remains of medieval ridge and furrow were identified in August 2014, to the immediate east of those previously recorded, during an earthwork survey of land off Anchor Lane, Ingoldmells. It appeared that the surveyed field had been ploughed and largely infilled, and the only surviving traces comprised a parallel series of ephemeral linear earthworks, aligned on a roughly north to south axis, and found at the southern-most edge of the field. {2}{3}
