PRN 36553
An archaeological evaluation comprising 39 trenches was undertaken at South Witham Quarry, ahead of mineral extraction. The evalulation identified a single pit or post-hole which contained stratified animal bone, including cattle and sheep / goat, and human remains comprising of a molar, part of a phalanx and a carpal bone. {1} {2}
