Full Description

There are three entries in the Domesday Book which refer to watermills at Scopwick. One holding has four mills, rendering 21 shillings and four pence (31/14), two mills, rendering 20 shillings (31/15) and half a mill, rendering 5 shillings (61/6). {1} It is thought that there were five watermills powered by Scopwick Beck in more recent times. {2}
