Full Description

PRN 63504 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of a new soke dyke on land at Branston Island, Branston and Mere. The watching brief identified a number of archaeological deposits and structures, including a pit dating to the late Neolithic or early Bronze Age. Although no finds were retrieved from the pit, it was sealed by a deposit of peat which was radiocarbon dated to 1920-1410 Cal BC (2 Sigma) {1} {2}
