Full Description

Late 18th century house, built in brick with a green slate roof. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}{2} In the late 19th century it was used as a preparatory school for boys and girls, at least from 1885. There were vacancies for boarders advertised, fact that may be linked to the first floor extension built in the secon half of the 19th century, possibly in the 1880s. By 1890 it became a boys -only school and it eventually stopped being a school c.1950. Since then it has been a private residence and has undergone mainly internal alterations in the mid to late 20th century. {3}
