Full Description

63360 Temple Farmhouse is a seventeenth century building, with additions and alterations in the late eighteenth, early nineteenth and twentieth century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar and brick dressings, and pantile and slate roofs. This house is built on the site of one of the domestic ranges of the Knights Templar preceptory, and a small fragment of reused medieval tracery survives in an upper window in the north gable, and the inner wall has a Perpendicular doorway. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. Regular courtyard with linked working buildings to all four sides of the yard. The farmhouse is detached from the main working complex. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. Isolated location. Large modern sheds are located on the site. {3}
