Full Description

An archaeological evaluation comprising six machine cut trenches was carried out at Wygate Park Phase 9, Spalding, prior to residential development. The evaluation identified a number of undated east to west aligned ditches which may have formed part of the same system of dylings (medieval and post-medieval field systems) identified to the south (MLI84948). {1}{2} Subsequent archaeological excavation on the same site in October-November 2004 confirmed that the ditches formed part of a field system of post-Medieval dylings. {3}{4}
