Full Description
The former Methodist Reform chapel on Eastgate was built in 1854, at a cost of £2,360. According to White, it had "a handsome stuccoed front, with eight lofty Corinthian columns." It had seating for 1200, with vestries and a schoolroom being added in 1855. The chapel was closed in 1956 and demolished the following year. The site is now in use as a car park. {1}{2}{3}{4}
