A silver penny of Edward the Confessor (1042-1066) was found on Wellingore Heath. It belongs to the Radiate/Small Cross type (BMC type I), and is stamped on the obverse with: +EDPER DRE+ , and on the reverse: ELII E OH LUHD (Elman or Aelman). {1}{2}{3}{4}
