A gas works is indicated on the 1905 Ordnance Survey County Series map, but was no longer in existence by the 1950s. However, it appears that one of the buildings on the site may survive to the present. {1}{2}
The gas works at Navenby were erected in 1857 by the Provencial Gas Light and Coke Co. which changed its title to the Navenby and Wellingore Gas Light and Coke Co in c.1892. {3}
