Full Description

two storey building of coursed dressed stone, under a pitched gabled tile roof with two small brick gable stacks, likely later additions. The 1905 OS map shows a porch in the centre of the front elevation, not present on the 1887 map and since removed. {1}{2}{3} The parish school was built by subscription in 1816, on the site of the pinfold, but it is also inscribed 'The Benefit Society 1821'. It was in two rooms for boys and girls. It was still a school in the 1970s, but appears to have been sold as a private residence around 1980. {4}{5}{6}{7}{8}
