Full Description
PRN 23913
Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) along the proposed route of the A1073 relief road between Eye (near Peterborough) and Spalding. The evaluation identified an approximately 8m (around the exterior curve) long arc of what appeared to be an Iron Age roundhouse construction trench. The profiles of this feature, as shown in three sections excavated, were almost identical, with near vertical sides and a lightly concave base. No finds were recovered from this feature. {1} {2}
