Full Description
Early 19th century milestone at London Road, Frampton. It is a square post of ashlar limestone with a pyramidal top. It is inscribed 'BOSTON 3 MILES, FRAMPTON', 'LONDON 113 MILES, FRAMPTON' and 'SPALDING 13 MILES, FRAMPTON' on three of the respective side panels. No trace of the milestone was found in early 2020, during inspection visits conducted as part of a condition survey of historic milestones in Boston Borough. It was not clear whether the milestone was no longer extant, or just lost in vegetation. {3}
