Full Description

Early 19th century milestone at London Road, Frampton. It is a square post of ashlar limestone with a pyramidal top. It is inscribed 'BOSTON 3 MILES, FRAMPTON', 'LONDON 113 MILES, FRAMPTON' and 'SPALDING 13 MILES, FRAMPTON' on three of the respective side panels. For the full description and the legal address of this listed building please refer to the appropriate List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. {1}{2} No trace of the milestone was found in early 2020, during inspection visits conducted as part of a condition survey of historic milestones in Boston Borough. It was not clear whether the milestone was no longer extant, or just lost in vegetation. {3}
