Full Description

A cropmark was noted from aerial photographs on Stapleford Moor in 1972, athough the nature and full extent of the cropmark was uncertain. {1} Further investigation via Google Earth imagery dated April 2004 shows a series of linear features, with possible sub-circular enclosures {2} and while some of the linear features were picked up in a geophysical survey in 2017-2018 {3}, limited evidence was identified during trial trenching excavations also undertaken in 2017-2018 {4}{5}.
