Full Description
Roman coins and brooches were recovered during metal detecting, conducted on a field to the west of Bassingham (on land which was historically in Norton Disney parish). Field walking in this area also identified a concentration of Romano-British pottery. {1}
Further Roman pottery was reported in January 1998 from this same area. The assemblage was comprised of mostly grey ware sherds but included one piece of colour coated ware. {2}
