An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during environmental groundworks at Waithe Beck, near Stainton le Vale. A single undated feature was observed during the watching brief. Since it extended outside the excavated area, it is unclear whether the feature represents one side of a pit or the terminal of a ditch. The fill contained no indications of its date or purpose {1} {2}
