Full Description

PRN 45512 Fluxgate gradiometer and resistivity surveys were undertaken on c.0.24ha of land off New Lane, Toynton St. Peter. The work was carried out as part of an archaeological evaluation of the site prior to the construction of a waste water treatment works. The gradiometer survey identified potentially significant archaeological remains. In the southern part of the site, the magnetic variation may relate to former buildings situated along the frontage of New Lane, as depicted on 17th and 18th century maps of the area {1} {2}
