Two Romano-British quern stones were found to the north of the River Slea. The two halves which appareantly match are of Romano-British flat type found where field drainage and dyke cleaning have taken place. The site was later visited and the quern stones were seen to be more or less in the dyke separating the fields on two levels on the higher more stony ground. No Romano-British pottery had been seen. The quern stones are with the finder. {1}
