An archaeological watching brief monitored the gorundworks for the conversion and extension of a property at 51/52 George Street, Grantham. The work identified the remains of post-medieval houses that once stood to the front of George Street. A post-medieval stone and brick lined well was also identified, and a selection of dressed stone fragments was recovered from its fills. The fragments comprised un-mortared blocks, probably from internal features, and date from the late 15th to 17th century. {1} {2}
