PRN 62987 Archaeological evaluation (trial trenching) on land at 81 Main Road, Washingborough identified a late Mesolithic to early Neolithic flint scatter. The scatter comprised two complete and five fragmentary blades, a single core and a number of flakes and unidentifiable fragments. The flints came from a light grey sand, interpreted as a degraded ground surface of late Mesolithic to early Neolithic date, sealed by a peat horizon that had begun to form around 1206 - 905 cal BC. {1} {2}
