Full Description

PRN 45501 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during the excavation of foundation trenches for three detached houses and two garages on land adjacent to Rectory Cottage, Back Lane, Wood Enderby. It was not possible to date nine of the features recorded during the watching brief as no datable artefacts were recovered from their fills. The majority of the features were either ditches or pits, and these may well be associated with early medieval (Saxo-Norman) or medieval activity found throughout the site {1} {2}
