Full Description

PRN 45476 Tower mill built in 1820, possibly by the same millwright as Alford Mill. Worked until 1920. Initially had five patent sails which drove four pairs of stones. Bought in 1920 by Batemans' brewery and now used as part of brewery. {1} The Salem Bridge wind-mill with attached mill building are Grade II listed buildings. The mill is a tower mill and the mill building is a small warehouse, now used by Bateman's Brewery. The buildings were built in c.1820 and underwent alterations in the 20th century.
