An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundwork associated with the construction of a new vicarage at Church Street, Spilsby. The watching brief identified a number of post-medieval features; two pits containing pottery dating to the 18th and early to mid 20th century and two, post-medieval brick-lined wells. The watching brief revealed no archaeological features predating the 18th century, with the recorded pits and wells probably associated with the existing vicarage building (constructed c. 18th century) {1} {2}
