Full Description
Cropmarks of a possible Bronze Age round barrow, to the north-east of Bett's Covert, South Willingham. Visible as a circular ditched enclosure measuring roughly 10m in diameter. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
Significant disturbance seems to have been caused in this area by post-medieval chalk extraction, and it may be that the feature actually represents a former chalk quarry pit. {2}{3}
