Full Description

PRN 36478 An archaeological watching brief was undertaken on land at 37-39 Harrow Street, Grantham. The watching brief monitored the excavation of foundation trenches for a new residential development and identified a pit dating to the late post medieval period (1800 to 1900AD). The pit was 1.42m long, 0.16m wide and 0.38m deep. It was filled with a yellowish brown silty sand, which contained a brick fragment and an iron nail {1} {2}
