Full Description

PRN 36473 An archaeological watching brief undertaken on land adjacent to 80 Main Road, Tallington observed an undated, east to west aligned ditch cutting natural deposits. The feature was between 1.30m and 1.6m wide with a shallow southern side and a steeper northern side. It was exposed to a depth of 0.18m but its profile was not fully revealed. No artefacts were recovered from the single fill of this feature, yet it is possible that the ditch is prehistoric in date and may relate to known prehistoric activity in the vicinity. However, in the absence of any dateable artefacts this suggestion remains unproven {1} {2}
