Full Description

PRN 23856 An archaeological watching brief monitoring groundworks on land at Hall Gate, St. Lambert's Hall, Weston identified a slightly curving north to south aligned linear feature. This feature was 3.6m wide and a maximum of 0.36m deep, and extended outside the trench. Identified as wheel ruts within a former trackway, it contained a single fill of dark grey silt. Overlying this deposit were two deposits forming the present trackway. No artefacts were retrieved during the watching brief. {1}{2}
