Full Description

PRN 70332 Archaeological watching brief monitoring groundworks on land at No. 40 Monson Street, Lincoln identified a pit-like feature towards the centre of the eastern wall foundation trench. The pit had shallow sides, breaking gently to a 'U'-shaped base and was filled by a dark greyish sandy clay. This fill yielded fragments of a 19th to 20th century stoneware flagon {1} {2}
