Full Description

Cropmarks of a probable prehistoric or Roman enclosure and pit, to the south of Barnack Road, Stamford. The enclosure is rectilinear in shape, defined by a single ditch emasuring 35m by 20m, and appears to have an entrance in the western side. The possible pit lies to the immediate east of the enclosure. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
