Full Description

PRN 36464 An archaeological watching brief on land at Belton Street, Stamford identified a residual pottery dating to the 17th to 18th century. The material possibly relates to a house built by Sir Edward Heron, on or nearby to the development site at the beginning of the 17th century. This was demolished in 1775 after having fallen into disrepair. {1} {2} It is possible that the undated building remains (PRN 36465) relate to (or forms a part of) this building, although this cannot be substantiated {3}
