An archaeological watching brief on land at Hall Drive, Boultham, Lincoln identified a north to south aligned boundary ditch, dated to the Romano-British period (possibly between the 3rd and 4th century). It is possible that the ditch is associated with the local Swanpool pottery industry, although evidence for this was slight. {1} {2}
