Full Description
Cropmarks of a former field system, located to the north of Fox Covert, were identified on aerial photographs by the National Mapping Programme. The cropmarks include features interpreted as enclosures, trackways and boundaries, and are thought to be of likely prehistoric date. {1}
A series of magnetic anomalies were revealed in October 2012, during a magnetometry survey, conducted along the proposed route of the new Stenigot to Benniworth Water Main. The anomalies were thought to be indicative of pits, ditches and enclosures, and align well with some of the cropmarks previously identified. {2}
