A large scatter of Romano-British pottery spread over an area of about 2 1/2 acres and inside a banked enclosure was seen centred on TF 161 423. {3}
A small concentration of Romano-British pottery, part of a quern and some roofing tiles were seen at TF 160 422, within the area of the general spread of Roman material noted above. {1}{3}
Roman pot has also been found at TF 162 423, and a Romano-British quern was seen at 162 421. {3}
This material suggests that a villa was once on this site.{2}
