Full Description

44673 This now inauspicious stump has the distinction of being the remains of the last new windmill to be built in Lincolnshire. It was built in 1889 by Saunderson and worked for a short time only, ceasing work by wind in about 1930. The sails were taken down and the tower reduced to its present two-storeyed stump after the war. It is now used as a grain silo. {1}
