Full Description

44662 Two granges of North Ormsby Priory are recorded at the Dissolution. One of these may be that of Cotes Grange to the west of South Elkington. One household is recorded in the Diocesan Returns of 1563, and medieval earthworks have been noted on aerial photographs around the present farm. {1}{2}{3} The small hamlet of Coates Grange is mentioned in 1856. {4}
