Full Description
The southernmost of two probable prehistoric or Roman pit alignments, on land to the north of Beck Plantation, South Rauceby. Visible as cropmarks on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. The cropmarks show a linear arrangement of pit features, following an almost straight course for approximately 870m from south-west to north-east. This alignment seems to converge at its north-eastern end with another pit alignment located a short distance to the north (see MLI84432). {1}{2}
