Full Description

Cropmark enclosures are visible on aerial photographs to the north east of Binbrook Walk House. These have been interpreted as the remains of a Roman settlement. {1} Extensive area of parchmark enclosures in a very haphazard arrangement suggestive of organic development. The site occupies a prominent position on a flat topped spur on high wolds with dry valleys on the north and south. The full extent of the site to the east has not been ascertained. Fieldwalking yielded one rim sherd of a greyware dish or bowl, possibly of Romano-British date. {2}
