Full Description

Earthworks of a shrunken medieval village at Overton Green, Little Humby. {1} A spread of over 200 late Saxon and medieval pottery sherds were recovered in 1979, during field walking on the site of the shrunken medieval village earthworks known as Overton Green. The assemblage comprised pottery dating from the 10th century onwards, and included fragments of Stamford ware. The largest group of sherds were of 13th-14th century type. {2}
