Full Description

Earthworks of medieval ridge and furrow to the south-west of Sloothby, identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1} Two adjoining medieval fields were surveyed and recorded in January 2018, as part of a programme of earthwork survey to inform on proposed agricultural development. The western field has earthworks of north to south aligned ridge and furrow, and the eastern field has earthworks of east to west aligned ridge and furrow. The distance between the furrows is between 8-9m on average. {2}{3}
