Full Description
Earthworks of medieval lynchets, to the south-west of Stoke Grange Farm, Stoke Rochford. The lynchets are on a steep east-facing slope, overlooking the River Witham, and are visible as at least five parallel terraces with average dimensions of 240m by 30m. The lynchets are staggered along the slope and are oriented at slight variance with the contours of the slope. Identified on aerial photography examined as part of the National Mapping Programme. {1}
